Course Description
This comprehensive EV course covers everything you need to know about electric vehicles, from fundamentals to future technologies. Begin with the basics of EVs, their history, advantages, market trends, and the core principles of electricity including voltage, current, power, and efficiency. Understand different types of EVs such as BEV, HEV, PHEV, and FCEV, along with detailed insights into powertrains, electric motors, batteries, and battery management systems. Move on to power and charging concepts, exploring inverters, converters, regenerative braking, AC/DC charging methods, global standards like CCS, CHAdeMO, and Type-2, plus thermal management and hybrid EV architectures. Learn how IoT, sensors, and telematics enhance EV control and efficiency. The final module dives into EV design fundamentals, safety standards, simulation tools, economics, and future innovations such as wireless charging, solid-state batteries, and hydrogen technology.
